LEVEL 3 ROPE ACCESS TECHNICIAN

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as SPRAT or IRATA Rope Access Technician.
  • Execute the skills and knowledge required of Level 3 
  • Background in Oil & Gas industry an asset 
  • Journeymen certification an asset
  • Team oriented and positive attitude
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of advanced rescue techniques
  • Supervising and ensuring the safety of level 1 and 2 technicians
  • Preparing and submitting reports to office on a timely basis
  • Ensuring operational safety of all equipment 
  • Adhere to all rope access standards and procedures 
  • Liaising with Operations Managers regarding project work
  • Valid Drivers license

LEVEL 2 ROPE ACCESS TECHNICIAN

LEVEL 1 ROPE ACCESS TECHNICIAN

Safety Advisor

  • Participate in the development, implementation and monitoring of health and safety systems/programs, standards, procedures and guidelines. Assist in developing an implementation plan, complete with auditing and follow-up components.
  • Conduct field audits and inspections; assist in identifying required actions and follow-up to ensure completion. Identify and implement various other measures and checks including safety meeting completion, task observations, etc.
  • Review and evaluate new and changing Provincial regulations/legislation and their impact on the Company.
  • Administer the Incident Investigation and Reporting process and perform additional tasks as per Supervisor’s direction.
  • Assist in the return to work program for injured workers.
  • Monitor and when required, participate in, safety meetings, audits, hazard assessments, etc.
  • Develop and conduct Health & Safety Training, as required.
  • Develop, maintain and implement related Emergency Response Plans, including mutual aid relationships with other organizations. Actively participate in AMSA led initiatives including the Mine Rescue Sub-Committee.
  • Train and provide leadership to the Surface Mine Emergency Response Teams.


             QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • National Contraction Safety Officer (NCSO) certified.
  • Emergency Response experience is an asset.

  • Excellent coaching, mentoring and facilitation skills through the promotion of an enthusiastic and positive attitude.
